Fun in the sun!

In case you didn't know, Heather and I love to travel! Over the last few years we've managed to rack up some pretty sweet frequent flyer miles and put them to great use (South Carolina, Seattle, New Jersey, and now AZ/Utah). As our young lad or lass approaches, we have been feeling it might be best to make one last trip and gobble up both our miles and our time off while we still can. As it turns out, our friend Marcus had his 30th birthday and wanted to head south to celebrate. Who are we to pass up some fun in the sun?

Our very first night in AZ, Heather found a tick/bed bug in our bed and strongly suggested we switch rooms (I don't see what the big deal was...) immediately. When the chaos began, Marcus happened to be in undies for the night and wasn't about to change again. All four of us laughed as the 30 year old walked through the hotel! Thank goodness he wore a shirt! That dude is OLD!

Day 2 took us north through Sedona and eventually the Grand Canyon...I think this pic says it all. It's not hard to feel small standing next to this piece of work.

Day 3 took us to Zion national park. Be careful...this place can take your breath away.

Finally, day four took us north of the Glen Canyon Dam onto Lake Powell. We rented a ski boat for the day and spent hours navigating narrow canyons while trying not to ruin the boat. We even enjoyed lunch on the beach.

The only regrets of the trip were 1) we had to leave 2) we had to again say goodbye to Marcus and Brelin and 3) we never got to eat In n' Out Burger. Although four days went fast, it was another adventure we'll never forget.
