Finally the moment we'd been waiting for arrived! After a fantastic evening with friends Sunday night, Heather awoke at 2:30am with contractions. As things progressed we hung out at home and finally decided to give the hospital a try at 3pm. After 12 more hours of "fun" Gwenyth Grace made her stunning entrance and the rest is history!
She's perfect. Absolutely perfect. We'd suspected she was a gal for a number of reasons and were elated to see we were correct! Growing up in a family with more boys than gals, there may be some changes coming in my life, but I could not be any happier than I am right now.
Mom and Baby are doing great and learning how to work together. Heather was such a trooper. I know she would say otherwise, but I have to be honest and say she made this process look easy. We have been incredibly blessed to have the experience we've had so far and look forward to seeing how things go as we make the transition home tomorrow.
Thanks for all your messages saying how excited you are for us. The only thing better than having you all as our community is having a healthy baby girl as the first addition to our family!
